Fargo editor set to take reins of NDNA
Matt Von Pinnon, editor of The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, has been nominated for the presidency of NDNA. Election of officers and directors will be held May 9 at the association's annual meeting in Bismarck. Von Pinnon will succeed Karen Speidel of the News-Monitor, which serves rural Richland County.
Distinguished Service winner named
Mike Maidenberg, who as publisher helped lead the Grand Forks Herald to a Pulitzer Prize for its coverage of a historic flood, has been chosen to receive NDNA's Distinguished Service Award.

This year's Witham Symposium on Excellence in Newspapers will feature presentations on advertising, writing and reporting, human relations basics and more. The annual event sponsored by the North Dakota Newspaper Association Education Foundation will be held Oct. 17-18 at the Bismarck Public Schools Career Academy located on the campus of Bismarck State College.
Drayton publisher fills NDNA board vacancy
Lesa Van Camp, editor and publisher of the Valley News and Views of Drayton, has been appointed to fill a vacancy on NDNA's board of directors.
