Winners of the photo of the year competition at this year's NDNA Better Newspaper Contest were Jamie Kelly of The Williston Herald and Larry Biri of the Walsh County Press in Park River.
Kelly won the daily newspaper division for his photo of a rainbow over the iconic Hedderich sign when the landmark Williston department store was destroyed by fire last year. Biri captured Jaylie Woods and her horse Mariah at the 2017 Walsh County Fair to win the weekly division.
