As the Westhope School District nears the end of the school year, the halls in the school will not go quiet on the last day of school because starting in the first or second week of June the district will start the first phase of its rehabilitation project on its school.
During all the phases of the project, the district will conduct renovation on the existing school, while adding on additional additions to the school.
This summer, the school district will start with asbestos abatement, foundation and masonry work and mechanical upgrades, which will place a new boiler system in the school.
The different phases of the rehabilitation project are to be completed sometime in 2015.
