City and Park Board elections are set for June 10 in Bottineau

With the deadline to file a petition for the 2014 city election ending on Monday, April 7, there will be six names on the city ballot when the election takes place June 10.

CITY

When it comes to the mayor’s position and council seats, four incumbents filed petitions for the five seats that are up for election with no individuals running against the incumbents.

Mayor Ben Aufforth, along with councilmen Diane Lorenz, Gary Mortensen and Matt Seykora have filed petitions to run in the election.

Alderman Jeff Hall has made the decision not to seek re-election, leaving one seat open on the council board.

PARK BOARD

Two incumbents to the Park Board, Mike Aasen and Matt Glasner, also filed petitions to be on the June ballot for the Bottineau Park Board, leaving one of the three seats open on the board.

All seats on the council and park board ballot are four year terms.

LOCATION

The election on June 10 will take place at the Bottineau County Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
