Stars fall to bombers in first round

The Berthold Bombers had a strong second half, which helped them eliminate the Bottineau Stars by a score of 50-36 last night in the opening round of the Region 6 Tournament.
The Bombers out scored the Stars 32-21 in the second half, after the Stars limited the Bombers to a three-point halftime lead, 18-15.
Steph Brenden led both the offense and defense for the Stars in the first half, and had a pair of three pointers.
The Bombers went only 1-for-9 from the charity stripe, which helped the Stars remain in the game.
The second half was a different story though as Berthold out scored the Stars 16-8 in the third quarter to take an 11-point lead, which led to a Bombers win.
Bottineau was led by senior Megan Saville, who, who had nine points. Steph Brenden also added eight points.
The Bombers were led by Bethany Limke, who had 22 points.
Bottineau concludes their season with a final record of 13-10.
They will lose four seniors: McDonald,Saville, Rachael Fix and Courtney Gallagher.
