An all denominational Ash Wednesday service will be held at St. Andrew’s Health Center on Wednesday, March 5, which will be a continuous service so that individuals who would like to take communion can partake in the start of Lent.
Pastor Desiree Uhrich of the First Lutheran Church and Pastor Carol Wendel of Metigoshe Lutheran will lead the all denominational service on Ash Wednesday for individuals who would just like to participate, or for those who are working during the day, but do not have a lot of time to make a Lenten service during the day.
“It is intended for all folks in the community, especially for those people working who would like to have the opportunity to receive the ashes and communion during their lunch break,” Uhrich said.
“We will be at the chapel from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. People are welcome to come at any time during the 90 minutes. Take a few minutes during your lunch break or stay as long as you like.”
St. Andrew’s chapel is located on the second floor next to the nurses’ station.
