A Bottineau resident has been charged with three counts of gross sexual imposition and is also facing similar charges in McHenry County.

Jeremiah Bierman, 19, came before Northeast District Judge John C. McClintock, Jr. on Tuesday, Feb. 11 during a preliminary hearing on the three counts of gross sexual imposition.

According to the Pierce County Courthouse, Bierman has been accused of engaging in a sexual act with a minor from Rugby who has special needs for over three months this past year.

Bierman also admitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation that he knew the age of the minor.

McClintock stated there was enough probable cause in the case and ordered a pretrial conference and motions of hearings for at 1 p.m., April 18.

Bierman has also been charged in McHenry County with gross sexual imposition, luring minors by computer and possession of certain materials prohibited.

On these charges, a preliminary hearing and/or arraignment has been set for March 19.

Bierman’s hometown is Towner, N.D., but he has residency in Bottineau with an address in the northeast section of Bottineau.
