Former Lumberjack and Bottineau-Rugby Braves Logan Millican scored two goals to help the Williston State College (WSC) Tetons put away the Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) hockey team 8-0 last Wednesday.

The game was the first of a best-of-three series between the Tetons and Jacks to decide who gets to advance to the National Junior College Athletic Association National Tournament in New York.

The Tetons took the first step with the shut out victory.

WSC went up 3-0 after one period, and continued to add goals as the game went on. In the second they scored three more to go up 6-0. At that point Eric Behrend already had a hat trick.

The Tetons added the two Millican goals in the third to put the game away, and take the first game of the series.

The teams will square off in game two at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Bottineau. If the Tetons win they will advance to nationals, but if DCB comes away with a win they will force a game three in Williston on Wednesday night.
