The assessment conducted by Vanguard Appraisals this summer in Bottineau’s residential sector is completed and will soon be mailed out to the residents of the community.

“The residential pricing is here,” said Penny Nostdahl, Bottineau’s city auditor. “It is currently at the courthouse, but will be sent to the city auditor’s office soon.”

The city and county share Vanguard’s computer program, which is located in the county auditor’s office at the courthouse.

Recently, the appraisal company uploaded the appraisal data to the county auditor’s computer.

Lisa Herbel, auditor of Bottineau County, will hand over the Vanguard appraisals shortly to Nostdahl, who will review the figures with the city appraiser, Clayton Parrill, before they are presented to council in early February.

Nostdahl stated letters to residential owners on their appraisals will be sent out sometime in February.

Those who want to protest Vanguard’s appraisals, will have that opportunity on April 8, during the city’s annual equalization meeting.
