Trail closure scare averted at Bottineau County Commissioners meeting

A section line dispute forced a mediation on the snowmobile trail that connects many of the Lake Metigoshe area trails to Kelvin Clinic this past Tuesday at the Bottineau County Commissioners meeting.
Both sides presented their arguments on whether to close or open the trail on the dispute, and in the end the commissioners ruled that the trail stay open.
The loss of the trail would have meant a pretty large hit for area businesses that depend on the snowmobile traffic that the trail brings in.
The Bottineau Chamber of Commerce sent out letters to several area businesses and interested persons in order to rally support for the trail to stay open.
