The Dakota Nursing Program will spend the month of December granting Christmas cheer to the local community, but in order to do so, the student nurses will need assistance from the city’s residents to make their dream come true to help others.

“The Student Nurse Organization (SNO) at Dakota College at Bottineau is working with Bottineau County Social Service, the Family Crisis Center and the Coalition for the Homeless in an effort to keep the spirit of Christmas alive,” said Diane Sjol, nursing coordinator for the Dakota Nursing Program at Dakota College at Bottineau.

“The students are asking for donations of gently used coats, gloves and mittens for adults. This is definitely an area of need since most donations are geared toward children.”

The winter items can be dropped off at the nursing office at Dakota College now until Dec. 17, or arrangements can be made for pick up by calling 228-5449.
