A rare home match, the first for the Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) Ladyjacks in 10 matches, ended in a sweep at the hands of Williston State College.
The loss was in spite of some spirited play by the Ladyjacks, especially in a close second set, where DCB fell just short in a 26-24 defeat.
The Tetons won several long rallies and used that to their advantage in the first and third sets as they won 25-15 and 25-12 respectively.
DCB was without top hitter Justine Nordin, who was injured.
Freshman Savannah Bruce tried to pick up the slack as she slammed home a team-high nine kills and also added 10 digs for the Ladyjacks.
Sophomore Leah Parizek added a team-best 21 digs, and three solo blocks in the loss.
Krista Lesmann had seven kills and 16 digs.
The Tetons were led offensively by Alanna Watt, who had 13 kills. Jaden Lynch added 31 assists as the Tetons beat DCB for the second time this season.
WSC downed the Ladyjacks 3-0 back on Sept. 5 in Williston.
The loss dropped DCB to 4-14 on the season.
DCB also hosted Lake Region State College last night at the Woodshed, but scores and stats were unavailable at press time.
The Ladyjacks will travel to play Trinity Bible College at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday in Ellendale.
