Bottineau has a new enterprise in its community which will allow individuals to sell on ebay through a store which will deal directly with the online auction and shopping site.

Mike Hagen has opened Botno EBAY in Loren Johnson’s storage facility (the building formally owned by Jim Page) on south Sinclair Street.

“Botno EBAY is a place where you can bring stuff to sell,” Hagen said. I can also go to a person’s place and take pictures (of items) and list them on ebay and see if it auctions or sells, or put stuff out there that is for sale and let it stay out for 30, 60 or 90 days to see if people want a set price on something.”

Hagen stated that he enjoys selling on ebay and has discovered the value of what sellers and buyers want to pay for items.

“I think what people might find interesting is where the values are, what sells. It is not necessary the value you pay for it, it may have value that you might not even be aware has value,” Hagen said. “I’ve made money on music records off ebay, and it is not Beatles records I make money off, or Elvis records, it is Jazz records and certain labels. Incredible, most of those records go to Japan.”

Hagen will sell the smallest item like a token to the largest item like a heavy vehicle. Individuals who want to sell something, no item is too big or too small for Hagen to care for, with the exception of guns.

“I cannot sell guns,” he said. “But, I’m working on arranging on selling guns.”

Botno EBAY is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For Hagen, he is looking forward to working in his business. “It’s going to be interesting and fun,” he said.

Ebay is a multi-billion dollar business with service to over 30 countries.
