The Bottineau Airport will be hosting a “Fly in Breakfast’ on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The airport will be serving pancakes, eggs, sausages, coffee and orange juice, and will be having a number of activities during the four hour celebration which will include:
- Car Show
- Radio Control modelers
- Motorcycle rides
- Flour bombing contest
- Aircraft simulator
“We want to get the townspeople out and see what is happening at their airport,” said Leo Jostad, a local pilot and instructor at the Bottineau Airport.
“We want to educate people about our airport and get them to understand it. There is a lot of activity out there that we think the general public is not aware of like medical needs flight, angel flights, flight instruction and so much more.”
Jostad added that the airport has expanded in recent years with hangers and more airplanes and all this will be on site for guests to the event to see and learn more about.
The Knights of Columbus, Bottineau County Veterans and the Bottineau Airport Authority are sponsoring the Fly in Breakfast.
