It was three days of zany fun over the weekend in the Bottineau community when the Bottineau Chamber of Commerce held its annual Crazy Days festivity, which consisted of a variety of fun events for all ages.

Crazy Days kicked-off Thursday morning on Main Street with special offers on retail store sales and continued through late Saturday afternoon ending with a live performance of Highway 43 at the local fairground and the announcement of Bottineau’s Second Annual Spit Shine/Show-n-Shine car show winners.

Events took place throughout a variety of locations with the majority of the events taking place on Main Street and the fairground.

MAIN STREET

On Main Street there were retail promotions, vendors of all kinds, kids’ activities and great food offered during the weekend event.

FAIRGROUND

The fairground hosted the Spit Shine/Show-n-Shine car show, a women’s expo, a promotion center for the National Guard and the Bottineau County Sheriff’s Department, vendors and two concerts with  Coldshot and Highway 43 performing.

AROUND TOWN

Outside of Main Street and the fairgrounds, there were bake sales throughout the town, a Man Cave Swap Meet at Tweed Country Ag, blood pressure clinic, work shops and a city wide parade.

AMVETS POST 25

Bottineau AMVETS Post 25 played an important role in Crazy Day. Post 25 hosted and presented the flags during the opening ceremony of the community event and held an American Flag Retirement Ceremony with over 100 flags that were donated to the organization to care for properly.

“We are extremely happy with the way Crazy Days and the car show went this year and are already talking about how to make it bigger and better next year,” Reinoehl stated.

“We had a lot of people in town over the three day event and have heard a lot of positive feedback. We had over a hundred cars being judged in the car show and about 130 overall,” he continued.

“The parade was great, the car games, kids’ games, sales activities throughout the community were fantastic. It was great to see so much support and participation. The help and dedication from all of the volunteers was greatly appreciated.”
