Seven Bottineau Stars basketball players recently enjoyed a unique experience. That’s because they attended the Cross Training Basketball Camp in Bismarck July 15-19 in Bismarck.

What made it unique is that the girls were able to meet NBA Champion James Jones of the Miami Heat.

The seven girls that were able to meet the Heat sharpshooter were Sydnie Nelson, Stephanie Brenden, Taisyn Rodriguez, Jocelyn Jahner, Shelby Grenier, Alexis Gullett and Abby Bristol.

The camp, which focuses on both basketball and Christianity is a chance for Christian ball players to sharpen their skills on and off the court.

“I met a lot of nice people,” Bristol stated. “It’s a Christian basketball camp and it is the best camp I have ever been to.”

As for meeting an NBA player, Bristol was pleased about that too.

“James Jones is really nice too,” Bristol stated.
