Westhope’s Country Meats and Specialties has new owners along with a new name but has stayed with the tradition of fine meat products with a variety of other fortes.
Greg and Linda Laber of Landa have purchased Country Meat and Specialties and have changed the name to Laber’s Hometown Meats and Varieties.
Linda said that they decided to purchase the business for a distinctive change of pace. “It was something different,” Linda said.
Laber’s new business is a full-service meat market and offers such items as premium cut bacon, roasts, steaks, ribs, sausage, jerky and so much more.
Laber’s Hometown Meat and Varieties also offer such groceries as milks, cheeses, pickled eggs, soda and other items.
Greg and Linda also take in area cattle, hogs, along with venison during the deer season to butcher.
Besides Greg and Linda, there are two other individuals employed in the meat market, which includes their daughter, Danika, making it a family orientated business.
Laber’s Hometown Meats and Varieties is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The business is located on Westside Ave and individuals can contact the meat market at (701) 245-6199.
