Katie Pfeifer, a senior at Kindred High School, has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB).

Pfeifer, who is a five-foot, one inch middle infielder, began playing softball at age five. This spring will mark the first year for Kindred’s softball program, however, Pfeifer has played the past four summers in 12U, 14U and 18U leagues.

Also on her resume are two years playing in the Fargo Fallball League, which is run by West Fargo head softball coach Pat Johnson and features several of the best softball players in the southeastern portion of North Dakota and western Minnesota.

“We are excited to have Katie as one of our future Ladyjack softball players,” said DCB coach Mike Getzloff. “She has great quickness to go along with her defensive skills. Katie will play middle infield for the Ladyjacks. We feel like she is a good fit for our program.”
