The Lil’ Swishers basketball camp, which was scheduled to have its first session on Jan. 12 has been rescheduled to Feb. 23 at the Bottineau High School gym. It was still take place from 9 a.m. until noon.

At the camp, which is for first through sixth graders, participants will get a t-shirts and earn prizes as well as learn from DCB athletes.

“Our primary goal is to increase the enthusiasm for the game of basketball and the DCB basketball program,” stated DCB head men’s basketball coach Cory Fehringer. “Along the way we would like to improve each campers overall skill development associated with playing basketball (shooting, passing, ball-handling and defense) by providing unique, and competitive drills to take home following camp. One-on-1 interactions with players and coaches will be a tremendous experience for the campers as well as our student-athletes.”

According to Fehringer more sessions are in the works, and they hope to continue the camp if this session is well-attended.
