The North Dakota Department of Transportation Drivers License Division is reinstating the driver license test site in Bottineau starting next month.

In June of this year, the DOT made the decision to discontinue the driver license test site in Bottineau due to low numbers in its staff at that time, but continued in renewing licenses in Bottineau.

“The Bottineau office is supported by staff in Minot. The driving portion of testing was curtailed in June when we lost three of the eight staff members in Minot,” said Linda Butts, of the North Dakota Department of Transportation. “It takes us time to train new staff, so they are able to offer class D testing.  That training is nearly complete and we are currently scheduling those services in Bottineau starting Sept. 17.”

The DOT will continue to be set up at the city armory and will be at the site every first and third Monday of each month. The times are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
