Rev. Joshua Reimche has accepted a position with Bottineau’s Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and Willow City’s Immanuel Lutheran Church and will serve the two parishes as their senior pastor.
Reimche was born and raised in Bottineau. He attended grade school in Bottineau until the fourth grade when his parents made the decision to home school him. He is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement and the Missouri Synod Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo.

After graduating from seminary, Reimche served the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wagner, S.D., and St. John’s Lutheran Churche in Fairfax, S.D., for four years. He then became the pastor for Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton, Iowa, for five and a half years before coming back to Bottineau. While in Iowa, he also served as a presenter at youth retreats and sat on the Iowa District East LCMS Board of Directors.

Reimche and his wife, Carrie, have four children, Josiah, six; Rebekah, eight; Jacob, ten and Hannah, 12.

Bottineau and Willow City’s newest pastor said that he and his family are pleased to back in Bottineau and serving two churches in the area.

“It is really nice to come back home. Carrie and I both have family in this area. Coming back here is like home for both of us,” Reimche said. “And we are excited about serving the church here in Bottineau and in Willow City.”

Reimche’s installation services for the two churches will be conducted on Sunday, August 26. The first installation will take place at Immanuel at 4 p.m., while the second service will take place at 6 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran in Bottineau.

Dr. James Baneck, president of the LCMS District, will conduct the service and a number of Missouri Synod pastors from around the area will be part of the services.

A potluck meal will follow the installation service in Bottineau.
