Twin Oaks Resort in the near future will be constructing a marina at its resort so recreational enthusiasts will have a place to store their boats.
“We will be constructing the marina on the east side of the resort,” said Andrew Rennich, assistant general manager at Twin Oaks Resort. “We have a lot of future plans for that side.”
Rennich stated that the marina is going to be 250 feet by 235 feet in size.
“It will have a 100-foot entrance and large pier will come down from the center with docks off the sides of that and docks all around the outside of that,” Rennich said. “They will be available for rentals and we have a plan for the future in adding gas pumps with a swipe card machine, but that will not take place right away.”
The goal of Twin Oaks with the marina is to allow individuals to leave their boats at its resort for a long term; although, the resort will also allow short term rental space at the marina.
So, individuals who do not have a dock to store or leave a boat, pontoon or vessel at Lake Metigoshe, they will be able to rent a dock space so that they will not have to transport their boats back and forth from the lake. Lake owners who have additional boats, but no where to place them, will also be able to store their boats at Twin Oaks.
The number of dock rentals the marina will have at the resort and its rental fees have not been determined at the moment.
Outside of the marina, Twin Oaks is also constructing an RV site at the resort.
“The lots in between the marina and the Lake Loop will be turned into RV spots,” Rennich said. “The RV site will have 14 lots.”
The resort is working on building a road on the northeast side of Twin Oaks which will go to a cabin location.
“We have started building the road, but have not started the dredging for the marina or the work on the RV site,” Rennich said. “However, the marina work will start soon with a completion date of this October.”
