David Costner has joined the staff of St. Andrew’s Health Center and will serve the medical facility as a family nurse practitioner.

Costner was born in Athens, Ga., but was raised in Chattanooga, Tenn.. He holds his bachelor degree in nursing from Chamberlain University in St. Louis, Miss., and his nurse practitioner degree from Southern Adventist in Collegedale, Tenn.

He has been in the nursing field for 10 years in the southern states of the country, but he and his wife, along with their four children, made the decision to move to North Dakota to live in a community comparable to the town he was born in.

“We love small towns and we wanted to find a town that was similar to Athens, Ga.,” Costner said. “We were looking for a small town to raise our family in and we found it here in Bottineau.”

As a family nurse practitioner, Costner will be a primary care provider for St. Andrew’s Health Center and will be providing care in the clinic, hospital and ER at St. Andrew’s.

Costner said he is excited to start his job at the medical facility.

“I’m looking forward TO caring for the patients.”
