It was a special week at the Birchwood Steakhouse and Lounge this past week when the owners, Kim and Gary Zahn, held special events showcasing their newly renovated restaurant and menu.
According to Kim, in recent weeks, the Birchwood’s renovations included a new paint scheme, decorations and light fixtures. Kim added that she and her husband’s goals were to upgrade the building with modern colors and art work.
“We wanted to freshen it up a little bit,” Kim said. “And, to bring a warmer feeling to the restaurant and bar.”
The Zahns succeeded greatly in their goal with comfortable colors, intriguing décor and cordial lighting.
The Birchwood’s new menu also has a delicious look to it, which will be pleasing to their customer’s palate.
The primary changes to the menu are a variety of different pastas and sauces, steaks, sauces and appetizers.
To kick-off the new look at the Birchwood, the Zahns held a “Grand Reveal,” which was a four day event that provided the public with a variety of theme nights to enjoy. The first event was Monday evening with “Ladies Night,” which was followed by a “Wine Night,” “Italian Night” and “Men’s Night” on Thursday evening.
During “Ladies Night,” women who attended the event had the opportunity to enjoy cheese, crackers and wine while shopping from 12 different vendors which attended the event. Vendors included Private Quarters, Silpada, 31, Signature Home, Mary Kay, Cookie Lee, Scentsy, Simply Beautiful, Lemongrass Spa Products, JC Crafts, Bodies in Knead and AdvoCare Nutritional Supplements.
“Wine Night” at the Birchwood provided samples of wine from their bar menu along with their appetizers, while “Italian Night” provided the public the opportunity to experience the restaurant’s pasta bar and sauces.
Ending the event was Men’s Night, which was an evening granting men a supper and silent auction.
The Birchwood donated the money which was raised by the silent auction to Bottineau and Lake Metigoshe’s volunteer fire departments.
Kim stated that the events had good numbers and went well.
“They were very much enjoyed,” she said.
Individuals, who are looking for a charming evening of food and environment, will want to checkout the Birchwood and all it has to offer.
The restaurant also has a new Facebook page, and the Zahns are encouraging people to visit the site and give them a “Like.” The Facebook page will also post events that are taking place at the Birchwood, along with the chance for people to post their comments and see photos of what is taking place at the steakhouse and lounge.
The Birchwood Steakhouse and Lounge is open Monday through Saturday starting at 5 p.m., with a Sunday brunch which begins at 10 a.m.
