The North Dakota Environmental Association has granted Paulette Nostdahl the 2012 North Dakota Environmental Association Best Service award for the dedicated work she has conducted as an environmental employee with the Good Samaritan Society-Bottineau.

“We give this award away once a year to an individual for the job he or she does at the facility they are employed at,” said Mike Medrud, the Regional One Board Member for the North Dakota Environmental Association, and the director of maintenance at the Good Samaritan Society-Bottineau who nominated Nostdahl. “While going through the application process, we look at the time and years that person has worked at that specific facility and the job performance they have given.”

Medrud stated that he nominated Nostdahl for the accolade because of the good job she does with the large number of different tasks she cares for in her position.

Nostdahl has been employed with the Good Samaritan Society-Bottineau for 23 years and is currently the assistant environmental supervisor at the center.
Nostdahl stated that she is honored by the award, but felt it was unnecessary.

“Paulette is quite humble,” said Terry Goehring, administrator of the Good Samaritan Society-Bottineau, about Nostdahl’s reaction to receiving the award, but he also stated that she has earned the accolade, too. “She is well deserving of the award. She has done a great job for us and continues to do that for us. I appreciate having her on staff.”

Nostdahl will be granted the award this spring in Bismarck during the 2012 North Dakota Long Term Convention.
