Bottineau 19U scored nine times over the weekend in a split against North Dakota foes.

Bottineau began with a tough 5-2 loss to Mandan High team, but bounced back with a 7-2 win over the Langdon Blades on Sunday.

Against Mandan Bottineau was out shot 38-22 in the loss. Goaltender Jacie Ceglowski had 33 saves, 11 in each period in the loss.

Bottineau scored first as Ashley Blue scored at 4:21. The assist came from Erin Severson.

Mandan answered back in the first to tie it, but neither team gained an edge in the second period and it remained tied until the final frame.

In the third period Mandan’s Mariah Marsh scored for the second time in the game to make it 2-1.

Bottineau’s Karlee McCloud would score at 10:28 in the third to tie the game once again.

But once again, it was short-lived as 15 seconds later Mandan’s Payton Bryan hit the game-winner.

Mandan scored twice more before the end of the period to make it a three-goal win.

After Saturday’s loss to Mandan, Bottineau returned home to beat Langdon 7-2 on senior night at Bottineau Community Arena.

Blue again struck first for Bottineau taking an assist from Sonja Gilje to score the lone goal of the first period.

In the second Bottineau jumped out to a 4-0 lead as they scored three times in the period.

First it was Severson at 14:23, in an unassisted goal.
Blue scored for the second time in the game with a wrist shot top shelf after a nifty move to get past a Blades defender at 6:53.

Natalie Bahr rounded out the scoring in the period with her first goal of the weekend. It was unassisted.

Blue got her hat trick early in the third after taking assists from senior and Captain Morgan Klebe and Bahr.

Langdon first got on the board next as Lyndee Johnson scored.

Blue scored for the fourth time later in the period at 11:11. Klebe again notched a helper on the play.
The final Bottineau goal came at 6:42 in the third period as McCloud took a pass from Bahr and shuffled it past Langdon net minder Morgan Kramer.

Langdon would score once more late in the third period, but Bottineau came away on top.

The weekend split makes Bottineau 16-4 on the season.

Bottineau closes out their regular season this weekend with home games at 6:45 p.m. on Friday against Crosby and a 2 p.m. game on Saturday against Bismarck.

The Junior Gold State Hockey Tournament will be held March 1-3 in Fargo.
