A road trip to Montana was just what the Bottineau 19U girls hockey team needed.

The trip, which consisted of a double header against Glasgow and a Sunday matinee against the Richland Rangers, ended with three Bottineau wins.

First in game one of the double header in Glasgow on Saturday morning, the visiting Bottineau team used two Ashley Blue goals to escape with a 2-1 win over the Glasgow Ice Dawgs.

The first of Blue’s goals came off an assist by Karlee McCloud in the first period.

Blue notched the game-winner at 16:19 of the third period.

Game two of the double header was riddled with penalties, but in the end Bottineau came out on top.
Blue scored four goals, one in the first and third and two in the second.

On the game-winning marker, notched at 13:37 of period one, Blue took a pass from Natalie Bahr and went past the Ice Dawgs net minder to take a 1-0 lead.
Bahr, who was all over the ice, was penalized five times, which gave her a 10-minute game misconduct after the fifth penalty with 19 seconds left in the third period.

In total both teams logged 16 penalties totalling 38 minutes.

Goaltender Jacie Ceglowski got her first shut out of the season after stopping 18 Glasgow shots.

Bottineau ended their road trip with a third win, this time against the Richland Rangers of Sidney, Mont.
The visiting Bottineau team scored six goals in route to a 6-1 thrashing of the Rangers.

Blue took a pass from McCloud to notch the first goal at 13:02 in the first period.

Sonja Gilje hit the game-winner later in the first after she was assisted by Morgan Klebe and Erin Severson.
Blue would garner the next goal and an assist later in the game.

Gilje would give Bottineau a 4-1 lead to end the first period, and Severson would score a pair of goals in the second to make it 6-1.

Shelby Pedie was credited with an assist on one of the Severson goals.

Bottineau is now 5-1 on the season.
