St. Andrew’s Health Center held its Fifth Annual Lights of Love tree ceremony this past Wednesday afternoon which holds a special meaning to the health facility.
“Lights of Love gives families and friends the opportunity to remember those they love and cherish during the Christmas season by purchasing lights at varying levels for our Lights of Love Tree,” said Patricia Halvorson, marketing and foundation director for St. Andrew’s Health Center on Monday morning. “If they donate $50, gold colored Christmas lights are hung on the Lights of Love tree in honor or memory of someone they choose. For a $25 donation, their loved ones are remembered with green lights on our tree; for a $20 donation, red lights are used; and for just $10 their loved ones will be remembered with white lights on our tree. As of today’s date, we have received a total of 115 donations, totaling $4,690.”
All the names of those honored were read during the ceremony as Christmas music was played throughout the event. After the ceremony, the health center provided Christmas treats to the event’s guests.
The money raised during the Lights of Love tree ceremony supports St. Andrew’s Health Center in a number of ways, some of which include new equipment and technology advances.
