Tyler Wolfe has accepted a position with the Bottineau County Sheriff’s Department and will serve the agency as a city deputy.
Wolfe was born and raised in the Esmond area and is a 2005 high school graduate of Harvey High School. He received an associate degree that focused on criminal justice from Bismarck State College in 2007, and then went on to the police academy at Lake Region College in Devils Lake where he graduated from the academy in 2009.
Since graduating from the police academy, Wolfe has been employed with the Harvey Police Department as a city officer. He joined the staff of the Bottineau County Sheriff’s Department on Nov. 1, and stated that he came to Bottineau for the opportunity to work under Bottineau County Sheriff Steve Watson.
“Steve is a good guy,” Wolfe said. “I feel that I can learn a great deal from him.”
Wolfe added that he is excited to be part of the Bottineau County Sheriff’s Department because the deputies and staff have always shown to be helpful individuals when it comes to their jobs, and that he wanted to be part of that and also assist in helping them out.
Wolfe and his wife, Kayla, have two children and will be making their home in the city of Bottineau.
