Toftland joins the BCSD

Jeremy Toftland has joined the staff of the Bottineau county sheriff’s department and will serve the agency as the west region deputy.

Toftland is originally from Bottineau County, growing up on a farmstead just north of Landa. After the fifth grade, he moved with his family to Glenburn.

Toftland is a 1999 graduate of Glenburn High School and attended Minot State University for two years before transferring to the police academy at Lake Region College in Devils Lake, N.D., where he graduated in 2001.

Since graduating, Toftland has been employed with the Rugby Police Department, McHenry County Sheriff’s Department and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

He and is wife, Cassie, are making their home in the Landa area.

Toftland is the son of Barry and Judy Toftland and the grandson of Helene Grann.
