Paterson Grain, LLC (PGL), has made the decision to construct a grain handling facility just outside of Bottineau’s city limits south of Johnson Sport Center and has started the process of moving forward to its construction phase.
On April 16, Bottineau’s planning commission approved PGL’s development agreement for the facility, which will now be voted on by Bottineau’s city council on May 4 during its May City Council meeting.
PGL plans to construct a 1,370,000 bushel capacity grain handling facility which will hold two 630,700 bushel steel bins, and ten 10,970 bushel steel bins. The company, in association with Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) and its spur line in Bottineau, is planning to have a loop service line come into the facility and collected its grain and go directly back on BNSF’s spur line.
The cost of the grain facility is $1 to $2.5 million with eight full time jobs that will be offered once the facility is operational.
