GLENDIVE, Mont. - Dakota College at Bottineau’s (DCB) baseball and softball teams both fell to 1-13 on their respective seasons last weekend after dropping four doubleheaders at Dawson Community College (Mont.).

DCB’s baseball team fell 2-0 on Saturday afternoon in the first of the team’s four games last weekend against the Buccaneers. The Lumberjacks fell in a high-scoring affair in Saturday’s rematch, too, by a 14-12 count.

The Jacks’ luck didn’t get much better on Sunday, as they instead saw their current losing streak rise to 12 games. DCB fell 7-2 in Game 3 of the weekend series before dropping the finale to the Buccaneers by a 17-3 margin.

DCB’s softball team put in improved performances in Glendive after a four-loss weekend a week ago at Williston State. The Ladyjacks couldn’t pick up a win against DCC, though, and instead saw their losing streak climb to eight games.

Dawson shut DCB out in Saturday’s twin bill, winnnig 5-0 in Game 1 before triumphing 11-0 in the rematch. The Lady Buccaneers then won 7-6 in Sunday’s opener and 9-6 in the finale.

DCB’s baseball and softball teams will host Lake Region State on Wednesday, visit LRSC on Thursday and host Bismarck State on Saturday.
