Bottineau U-12, U-14 heads to state tourney

Bottineau’s under-12 and under-14 girls hockey team will take part in the NDAHA state tournament this weekend in Grand Forks. Listed as the tournament’s No. 1 seed, Bottineau finished its 2014-15 regular season with 16 wins and three losses.

The tournament will take place this Friday through Sunday.
Bottineau head coach Stephanie Oakland feels confident about her team’s chances going into the state showcase.

“Overall we have had a very successful and fun season,” Oakland said. “The girls and I along with my assistant coaches are very excited about state. We are going as a very strong and competitive team and we’re very excited to see how we do.”
