Brenden named to All-Region team

Stephanie Brenden, a senior guard on the Bottineau High girls basketball team, has been named as the lone Star on the NDHSAA Class B All-Region 6 team.

She wasn’t the only student-athlete from Bottineau County to make the list. Molly Lodoen, a senior forward and guard from Westhope-Newburg, was also named to the All-Region team.
Berthold head coach Kayla Lambrecht was named as the coach of the year for Region 6. Peggy Person, also of Berthold, was named as the Region 6 athletic director of the year.

The All-Region 6 team included three players from Minot Bishop Ryan, which won the Class B state championship last weekend at Minot State University. Lady Lions players Gabbie Bohl, Maddie Wald and Hannah Stewart were selected to the All-Region team.
Stewart, an University of Iowa recruit, was named as the Region 6 senior athlete of the year.

All three were also named to the Class B State All-Tournament team, and Stewart was named the Class B senior athlete of the year.
