Botno Ebay, in association with Hiatt Auctions and Knudson Clerking, hosted the First Annual Gun Show and Auction at the Bottineau Armory on Saturday morning which saw a large number of gun enthusiasts come to the event.

“A lot of people have been talking about it that they would like to have one,” said Mike Hagen of Botno Ebay. “Quite a few people were looking for a way to sell their guns and the gun show and auction came about for these people.”

Around 60 guns were present during the event, which brought out hunters, target shooters and collectors.

During the show and auction, a number of interesting guns were present, which included three Winchester 94s that included one lever action Winchester 94, .25-35 with a serial number that showed in was manufactured in 1902 and was the first round barrel placed on a repeating Winchester 94.

There was also a working replica of a .50-90 Sharpes, which is a black-power rifle cartridge and gun. The Sharpes was manufactured in 1872 and specifically made to hunt bison.

Outside of the gun show and auction, individuals were given the opportunity to learn about raising pheasants, earning a concealed weapons license, joining the Wood Grouse Society, and meeting members of Bottineau’s Gun Club, along with a number of door prizes.

Hagen was pleased with the event.

“We are just trying to get people involved with this sport of shooting and hunting and getting people involved to share it and enjoy it,” Hagen said.
