MINOT - The boys’ basketball team from Westhope-Newburg (W-N) is still searching for its first win of the season following a 63-50 loss last Tuesday at Minot Bishop Ryan.

The Sioux started slowly at Ryan, falling behind 21-5 at the end of the first quarter. W-N then got back into the game and trailed only 28-22 at halftime, but the Lions did enough in the second half to keep the Sioux at bay.

W-N freshman Tate Wyman led his team on Tuesday with a team-high 22 points as well as five rebounds and an assist.
W-N (0-16) will close out its regular season this week with three games.

The Sioux host Surrey at 7:15 p.m. tonight in Westhope before visiting Rolette-Wolford on Thursday and Burke Central on Friday.
