The Bottineau U-19 girls’ hockey team picked up two wins and two losses during a road trip last weekend that took the Stars to western North Dakota and Sidney, Mont.
The four-game slate over three days started Friday in Sidney when the Stars fell to the Richland Rangers 4-0. Bottineau was whistled down for eight penalties in a third period in which Richland found the back of the Stars’ net three times.
Bottineau then played twice on Saturday in Williston. Eight different Stars scored in a 10-0 win over Williston in the early game before Bottineau fell 2-0 to Glasgow in the late one.
The Stars finished their western swing on Sunday with a 3-1 win at Crosby. Megan Olson opened the scoring for the visitors in the second period before Sonja Gilje scored a pair of goals to put the result on ice.
The Stars (11-5-0) will host Fargo this Saturday at 4 p.m. before welcoming Mayport to Bottineau on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
