W-N girls wrap up regular season

Westhope-Newburg’s (W-N) girls’ basketball team wrapped up its 2014-15 regular season last week with two wins from three games against non-district opposition.

The Sioux opened last week on Monday with a 61-46 Groundhog Day loss at Berthold. W-N then quickly bounced back, though, and won 75-49 at Rolette-Wolford and 64-57 at Surrey.

W-N (10-9) will open District 11 tournament action on Thursday against Sawyer in Velva.
