According to the Department of Mineral Resources, an oil spill took place in Bottineau County last week, but was contained in its berm.
The spill took place at the Gehringer central tank battery, which is located three miles north of Mohall.
Enduro Operating, LLC, reported the incident and stated that 260 barrels of oil was released, but contained and recovered within its berm.
The cause of the spill was a tank that leaked.
A state inspector has conducted an investigation at the site.
