DUNSEITH - Westhope-Newburg’s (W-N) boys’ basketball team fell to 0-11 on the season Friday night when the Sioux fell 88-43 on the road at Dunseith.

The Dragons came out firing in the first half and developed a big lead quickly. Dunseith opened on a 21-5 run through the game’s first eight minutes before the Dragons dropped another 31 points on the Sioux in the second quarter.

That helped Dunseith take a 51-16 lead into halftime. W-N then scored 21 points in the third quarter to try and get back into the game, but the damage had already been done.

W-N senior center Chance Kitzman led the Sioux with 15 points to go along with eight rebounds and three steals. Freshman guard Tate Wyman finished the game with 10 points of his own.

W-N visits Drake-Anamoose tonight at 7:15 p.m. before visiting Sawyer on Friday.
