Steve Duerre, owner of New Dimensions stated the SilverSneakers program is a program that is not well known but has so much to offer.

“What I found is that a lot of people are not even aware of it,” Duerre said. “The people that are eligible get these cards in the mail and they think it is spam and they throw it in the garbage.

“However, it’s a pretty good program and you can have access to it seven days a week here (New Dimensions),” Duerre added.

“We have everything here for some one who is a little bit older who wants to exercise. From elliptical weights to weight resistance to machines for people with knee replacements, we can assist those who are eligible for the program. Like the saying goes, if you rest you rust; so, it is important to exercise.”

Duerre also stated that individuals who are interested in the program can come to or call New Dimensions and he or his staff will check on the fitness center’s computer to see if individuals are eligible or not for the SilverSneakers program.
