Veronica Wright has accepted a position with Bottineau’s Walmart and will serve the company as store manager.

Wright was born and raised in Waukesha, Wis., and has spent the past seven years in Milwaukee as a Walmart employee.

Wright said she is a bona fide Walmart person because she grew-up shopping in Walmart, accepted a job with the company at the age of 18 and has spent the past 15 years working for Walmart in 11 different stores.

Her first job with Walmart started out as an overnight stocker and she worked herself through the ranks to store manager.

“I am true testament that you can really do what you really want with being a Walmart employee,” Wright said.

Wright stated that she chose Bottineau’s Walmart to manage because she and her family were looking for a different lifestyle.

“Milwaukee was big city living and we as a family were talking and we decided we wanted to do some country living,” Wright said. “So, we started looking for a new town with a slower pace and people who are personable and we found Bottineau.

“And, I enjoy Bottineau. The people I have met here and there, and customers who come to Walmart, they have all been very personable,” Wright added. “Bottineau isn’t fast pace and you get the chance to meet people and develop a relationship with them. I really enjoy that.”

Wright is married. She and husband, T, have two children, Marco who is 16 years old and Nehemiah who is 15.
