Sales tax break a million dollars

The final quarter for sales tax in Bottineau was $324,245, which placed Bottineau over one million dollars in sales tax for 2014.
The final three months for city sales tax was as follows:
● October - $106,800
● November - $126,075
● December - $91,370
When compared to the final quarter of 2013, which ended at $310,144, this year’s sales tax was higher by $14,101, or by just over 4 percent.
Overall for 2014, the city’s sales tax was $1,113,956. When compared to 2013 at $1,103364, this year sales tax end just under 2 percent of the following year.
Bottineau has a 2 percent local sales tax, which is divided three ways and includes.
● 1 percent and 40 percent of 1 percent for the paving reserve fund
● 40 percent of 1 percent for the EDC Fund (#8300)
● 20 percent of 1 percent for a miscellaneous infrastructure and various city project fund (#8350)
The city sales for 2014 started out slow, but gained momentum through the summer and fall, grant the 1 plus million dollars for the year.
