Lumberjacks go 2-0 at MinDak Classic

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. - The Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) men’s basketball team is off to a perfect start to 2015 thanks to a pair of victories earned last weekend at the MinDak Classic.

At the tournament hosted by Northland Community and Technical College (Minn.), DCB swept the two teams it faced. The Jacks downed Red River (Manitoba) 81-56 on Friday before defeating Northland 72-58 on Saturday.

The Jacks finished the bulk of their 2014-15 nonconference slate with a 14-3 record.

DCB will open Mon-Dak Conference play at home this Thursday against Bismarck State (5-8). It will both teams’ first league game of the season. 

The game’s opening tip-off at the Woodshed is set for 8 p.m.
