Accident causes fatality two miles northeast of Mohall

A Mohall woman passed away early on Dec. 17 when she rolled her SUV and was thrown from the vehicle. 

According to the North Dakota Highway patrol, Rachel Gates, 33, was one mile east and one mile north of Mohall on Wednesday morning when she lost control of her 2002 GMC Envoy at 9:30 a.m. and entered the ditch.

Once in the ditch, the Envoy rolled several times and she was thrown from the SUV. 

Gates was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The NDHP report states that Gates wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
