Lumberjacks outlast UND

GRAND FORKS - Five goals scored by the Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) hockey team on Saturday gave the Lumberjacks their fifth win of the 2014-15 season.

At Purper Arena in Grand Forks, DCB (5-6-0) defeated the University of North Dakota’s club team 5-3 in the first of the teams’ three meetings this season. Two goals from Jacks freshman Phoenix McElroy-Scott proved essential in the win.

DCB’s next action will be at home against UND on Dec. 6-7. Scheduling conflicts postponed DCB’s game scheduled for this Tuesday at Williston State.
