Lumberjacks split in Wahpeton

WAHPETON - The Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) men’s basketball team finished with a 1-1 record last weekend at the Baymont Inn Classic in Wahpeton. The tournament was hosted by the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS).

The Lumberjacks picked up only their second loss of the season on Friday when they fell 96-83 to Anoka-Ramsey Community College (Minn.). DCB bounced back on Saturday, though, and defeated Central Lakes (Minn.) by an 89-74 count.

The Baymont Inn Classic was already the third tournament that the Jacks have taken part in this season. They came out of the Wahpeton tournament with a 6-2 overall record.

DCB will host the Cobblestone Classic this weekend. The Jacks will face Northland (Minn.) on Friday before meeting the junior varsity team from Concordia (Minn.) the following day.
