FARGO - It wasn’t just members of North Dakota State’s football team that finished last weekend with sore heads.
The Bison’s hockey team lost over the weekend, too. Twice, in fact, as Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) went down to Fargo and came away with a pair of wins.
DCB opened its three-game weekend with a 3-2 win over NDSU on Friday. Freshman Lumberjacks forward Frank Flight scored two of his team’s three goals in the game.
NDSU had defeated DCB in each of the teams’ previous six meetings before they met again on Friday at Fargo’s John E. Carlson Coliseum.
The Jacks then completed a series sweep on Saturday by trouncing NDSU 5-0. Freshman DCB forward Lucas Walsh had a four-point game in the rematch by picking up three goals and an assist.
Another DCB freshman, goaltender Luke McAllister, stopped all 47 shots he faced.
