Maxbass couple receives additional charges

Additional charges have been made against Adam and Debra Ray of Maxbass who were charged with sex crimes against a minor two weeks ago in Bottineau County.

Adam Elsbe Ray, 33, who was charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child and possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 17, was also charged on Monday, Oct. 28, with two counts of corruption or solicitation of minors, which are Class C felonies.

Ray was also charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, which are Class B felonies.

Debra Ray, 37, was charged with gross sexual imposition on Oct. 17. On Monday, two counts of being an accomplice were added.

The charges are a Class B felony.

Last week, Adam was transferred to the Heart of America Correctional and Treatment Center in Rugby, while his wife was released on bond.
