WAHPETON - The Dakota College at Bottineau (DCB) football team moved to 7-1 on the season on Saturday thanks to a 42-21 win over the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS).
The win allowed DCB to take home the Lumbercat trophy, for which the two in-state rivals play each other. The Wildcats had held onto the trophy since defeating DCB 30-21 in Bottineau on Nov. 2 of last year.
Lumberjacks quarterback Krae Kelso led the way on Saturday by accounting for four DCB touchdowns.
DCB will host a Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) first-round playoff game this Saturday against Vermilion (Minn.) starting at noon.
The Jacks defeated the Ironmen 13-12 at home earlier this month on Oct. 4.
